EastEnders ‘confirms’ Mick Carter’s return — but there’s a twist in store

EastEnders fans are convinced the soap has ‘confirmed’ the return of Mick Carter.

Former The Vic landlord Mick, played by Danny Dyer, rocked up to Walford back in 2013 with the rest of the Carter clan. And he quickly became a hit with viewers.

However, on Christmas Day 2022, his explosive exit scenes were aired. Fans will recall how Mick appeared to get lost at sea after plunging into the water to save his estranged wife Linda Carter (Kellie Bright).

Despite a body never being found, Mick’s death left ex-wife Linda heartbroken – and since then, fans have been longing for Mick to make a comeback.

And with Father’s Day just around the corner, Linda has become more depressed and has gone back on the booze. During Monday’s episode (June 10) she tearfully recalled to mum Elaine and son Johnny, a dream she had that involved Mick.

Linda revealed that the “vivid” dream involved her and Mick spending time together near a pond while sharing some chips. She even called it “so real.”

And now, fans are certain that the soap has ‘confirmed’ Mick’s return – especially with Father’s Day around the corner. But there could be a twist in store.

Alongside a clip of Linda’s conversation about Mick, one fan wrote on X: “All seems a bit like a foreshadow.…” Someone else wrote: “Linda is having dreams of mick. I’m convinced one day he will return.”

Another fan pointed out how Mick could return similar to how Roxy Mitchell returned last year. Fans will recall Roxy was killed off in 2017 but made a comeback in the from of a hallucination during a therapy session with her daughter Amy.

Now, the viewer reckons Mick could return in a similar way. They wrote: “We need her to see Mick like Amy saw Roxy cause Linda needs that more than ever.” Another viewer penned: “Mick will return for the 40th next year – mark my words.”
