EastEnders fans reckon a soap regular’s exit is just around the corner in a huge twist.
Over on the soap recently, Kat Slater (Jessie Wallace) and her son Tommy Moon (Sonny Kendall) have been front and centre of a heartbreaking child-to-parent abuse storyline.
Tommy’s troubling behaviour began at the start of the year, when Kat ended things with Phil Mitchell (Steve McFadden). He then started lashing out at his family, skipping school and even shoplifting from the Minute Meet.
However, in July, Kat found herself on the receiving end of Tommy’s outburst when in shocking scenes, his hostile behaviour turned violent and he punched her in her stomach.
Kat confided in Alfie Moon (Shayne Richie) who assured her he would get the teenager under control. Recently though, Alfie had to leave Walford for a two-week management course in Birmingham.
As a result, Tommy and Kat have been left alone together. And over on the soap this week, things have taken another dramatic turn for the mother and son.
During Wednesday’s episode (October 9) Tommy ended up punching Kat in the face – leaving her bruised and terrified. Now, fans are convinced Tommy will end up leaving Walford in a shock prison twist.
On an EastEnders Facebook fan page, one person mused: “Where do we think the storyline is going with Tommy?” Someone else chimed in: “I reckon Kat ends up calling the police or someone and Tommy gets arrested.”
A third wrote: “He will either put Kat or one of the boys in hospital… Maybe social will get involved and take him away.” A fourth person said: “Trying to be a mini Phil but gone too far… He is going to jail or end up dead.”
Meanwhile, other fans were left horrified by Tommy brutally attack his mum Kat. One person proclaimed on X: “SORRY??????? TOMMY PUNCHED KAT IN THE EYE???? wrap it up.” A second raged: “Need to rant about this Tommy storyline Eastenders have been stressing me out with.” Another viewer said: “These Tommy and Kat scenes are really hard to watch ngl.”
EastEnders airs Monday to Thursday at 7.30pm on BBC One and BBC iPlayer
