EastEnders’ Nish star teases Keanu’s body will be found in tense café twist

EastEnders star Navin Chowdhry has teased fans that there may be a new chapter to Keanu Taylor’s death after he was killed off in the Christmas episode.

Fans of the BBC soap have been agonising over when Keanu’s body will be found after The Six buried his body under the floors of the café in an effort to cover up his disappearance. Taylor, who was played by Danny Walters was given the boot from the show after being stabbed in the back by Linda Carter as he attempted to strangle Sharon Watts.

After he succumbed to his injuries and died, Linda and Sharon recruited the help of the remaining four women to cover up his death. Things looked bad, however, for the other men that were connected to the storyline as Navin’s character Nish Panesar was also attacked the women after he plotted to murder his wife Suki for running off with another woman.

Whilst Nish knows something is up from that night, he has yet to put the pieces together to implicate the women in Keanu’s death. He also does not believe that Keanu has run away after the pair got into a fight minutes before Taylor was stabbed.

Since the dramatic episode, Nish and Suki have separated, with Suki giving all responsibility of the pair’s assets to him. This includes the newly-bought café, where Keanu’s body is still buried.

Viewers are now convinced that Nish is set to stumble upon Keanu’s body at some point, now that he owns the building where Taylor is resting. But others have pointed out that Nish could in fact be framed for the death, with The Six working together to pin the blame on him.

Speaking to the Mirror, Navin addressed the rumours and fan theories that Taylor’s body will be found and Nish could be framed for Keanu’s murder. Whilst he neither confirmed nor denied the thinking, he did hint that it could be the case.

Instead, Chowdhry quipped that Nish would want to find out who was behind the death as soon as possible.”Well, yeah – who’s gonna pay for the building works when that happens? You know it’s costly laying floors, I’m not paying for that no way!” he added.

Navin also added that another character would start to demand answers about what happened on Christmas Day as the fallout from the dramatic episode continues. But could this all be a hint that Keanu could soon be discovered under the floorboards?

The actor added that there are “two sides of the story” – one from Keanu’s storyline and one from Nish’s. And it is clear that Panesar still has his suspicions about what might have occurred during Christmas.

“From what we know from Nish, he may have temporarily dropped pursuit and stopped looking into it, but for a man like him to be overpowered by six women in The Vic on Christmas Day, it’s too much for him to surely let go of,” Navin added. “So I think it’s about timing and he will want to get to the bottom of what happened exactly.”

EastEnders airs every weekday at 7:30pm on BBC One and the BBC iPlayer.
