Stacey Slater left fans concerned during the latest episode of EastEnders.
The Walford resident has been targeted by a stalker in recent weeks but it has come to fans’ attention that the ditzy market stall worker is still forgetting to lock her back door.
Monday’s (March 11) episode saw Johnny Carter (Charlie Suff) pay a visit to Stacey (Lacey Turner) unannounced in a bid to keep his mum Linda Carter (Kellie Bright) dark secret under wraps.

Fans know that Linda murdered Keanu Taylor (Danny Walters) on Christmas Day and Sharon Watts (Letitia Dean), Suki Panesar (Balvinder Sopal), Kathy Cotton (Gillian Taylforth), Denise Fox (Diane Parish) and Stacey all helped bury the body under the floor of the café.
Denise has been struggling with her mental health since Keanu’s death and is currently staying at a psychiatric ward. Amy (Ellie Dadd) and Ricky Mitchell (Frankie Day) begged Jack Branning (Scott Maslen) to let them see Denise and he promises to speak to Chelsea Fox (Zaraah Abrahams) try to make it happen.
However, Denise refused to see anyone and Johnny insisted that Stacey needed to get to Denise before she revealed Linda’s secret to Jack or the kids. As Johnny ordered Stacey to sort out Denise, fans were distracted by the fact the Slaters never seem to lock their door.
Taking to X, formerly known as X, one fan penned: “Everyone just walks into Stacey’s kitchen.” Another added: “Another man just barging in Stacey’s back door. Has she ever heard of a lock?” A third person said: “I’d have that entrance sealed! It’s getting to be ridiculous now!” A fourth social media user said: “Johnny please don’t bust into the slaters unannounced again. THEY HAVE A FRONT DOOR. KNOCK IT.”
Someone else agreed: “The Slaters need a bell on that back door. Either that or lock the b****y thing.” A sixth viewer said: “When will Stacey learn to lock her back door?” Fans will have to wait and see if Stacey manages to get to Denise before its too late.
EastEnders airs Monday to Thursday on BBC One at 7.30pm
