Ekin-Su Cülcüloğlu’s team have pleaded with Celebrity Big Brother fans to stop sending hate online after reading abusive messages about her.
On Thursday (March 14), the Love Island winner was criticised by ITV fans for her “hysterical” crying after Marisha Wallace put her up for eviction in face-to-face nominations. The 29-year-old actress stormed off to the bedroom after the tense selection process.
The theatre star was hot on her heels as she immediately apologised to the reality star as she raged about her reasoning for nominating her. She fumed: “I knew this was going to happen! This judging me because I went on a f**king show before”, later suggesting it was “not fair.”

She was also nominated by This Morning presenter Fern Britton, Bradley Riches and Zeze Millz. The TV star herself nominated for Louis Walsh, despite forming a close friendship with the former X Factor judge over the past two weeks.
Now, Ekin-Su’s family have asked fans to stop criticising her online, explaining it is difficult for them to read the “hateful comments” and “physical abuse threats”. Taking to Instagram after the show, they wrote: “Last night was a really sad episode to watch.
“Ekin-Su has always cared and worn her heart on her sleeve and last night we saw that. What made last night a thousand times harder though is seeing and listening to hateful comments, trolling, name calling and physical abuse threats.
“Nobody deserves this behaviour and to read some of what we did last night. [Celebrity Big Brother is a reality entertainment show that is edited to entertain us as viewers.”
They went on: “We see an hour of 24 hours each day and the show is a social experiment that has been known to heighten emotions. We would like to thank those of you that have supported Ekin-Su. The love and kind words haven’t gone unnoticed!
“Please remember, in a world where you can be anything, be kind. Love always, Team Ekin-Su x.” The confrontation came after housemates were guided to the Kissing Booth, where they nominated face-to-face before sealing each vote with a kiss.
Ekin-Su, David Potts, Fern Britton, Levi Roots and Louis Walsh will be the next housemates to face the public vote ahead of Friday night’s (March 15) live double eviction.
Louis received eight nominated from Bradley, Colson, David, Ekin-Su, Fern, Marisha, Nikita and Zeze. Ekin-Su received four nominations, David, Fern and Levi all received two nominations.
Celebrity Big Brother airs on weekdays from 9pm on ITV1 or catch up on ITVX.
