Emmerdale fans call out major security blunder as Mack and Aaron plot next heist

Emmerdale fans were left up in arms after spotting a major blunder while Mackenzie Boyd (played by Lawrence Robb) and Aaron Dingle (Danny Miller) plot their next heist.

During Thursday’s visit to the ITV Dales, viewers caught up with Kim Tate (Claire King) as she met up with an important businessman when his expensive sports car broke down in the heart of the village. In an effort to get on his good side, Kim left the broken down vehicle in the trusted hands of local mechanic Cain Dingle (Jeff Hordley).

She pleaded with him to fix the car with the promise of more business coming his way after his great review from the wealthy entrepreneur. But it didn’t take long before Mack and Aaron caught sight of the prized car as Cain pushed it into his garage.

The pair decided to put their heads together to come up with a plan to break into Cain’s garage and steal the car and sell it off on the cheap. After discussing the plan over coffee, the pair decided to distract Cain by calling him out to fix one of his sister Moira’s (Natalie J. Robb) tractor while Aaron breaks into the garage and steals the car.

Naturally, the Scotsman wasn’t the biggest fan of the idea because it meant deceiving his sister but feeling strapped for cash he agreed to the plan. As viewers watched the plan go off without a hitch, they flooded to the social media site X – formerly known as Twitter – to share their confusion online after spotting one major error.

Many couldn’t help but wonder how the duo had got away with stealing the car without Aaron getting caught on CCTV inside the garage. One user penned: “#Emmerdale the amount of times that garage has been broken into you’d think Cain would have installed CCTV [three thinking emojis].”

Another agreed: “Would you be surprised? There is never CCTV in soaps and if it is there it doesn’t f***ing work #Emmerdale.” A third echoed: “Cain is a dumba** for not having CCTV in the garage #Emmerdale.”

It comes after viewers believe they’ve sussed out a secret link between Mack and newcomer Ella Foster. The ITV soap is set to welcome Ella (Paula Lane) in upcoming scenes and viewers think she’s got a hidden connection to the locals.

In upcoming scenes, Ella catches Many Dingle (Lisa Riley) and Paddy Kirk’s (Dominic Brunt) attention when she stands up for Mandy at a vet’s ball. After getting sacked for defending her new mate, Ella ends up in the village on the hunt for a new job.

However, some viewers are convinced Ella may have a secret past she’s keeping quiet and about and already has a link to the TV hunk. Last December, Mack was often away, leading Charity Dingle (Emma Atkins) to believe he was having an affair.

In reality, he was dealing with issues between him and Chloe Harris (Jessie Elland) and their son Reuben being away – but could he have been unfaithful? Taking to social media, viewers shared their suspicions online.

One user penned: “We only have Mack’s word that he ended up sleeping on a park bench. Charity could well be right that he ended up sleeping with some random other woman. Maybe Ella or Ruby? #Emmerdale.” Another chimed in: “So, who did Mack sleep with? Ella or Ruby? #Emmerdale.”

Viewers will have to stay tuned to see the effect her arrival in the village will have on the Scottish hunk. Emmerdale airs on weekdays on ITV1 from 7.30pm or catch up on ITVX.
