Emmerdale fans fume ‘nothing makes sense anymore’ as they spot glaring blunder in crash

Emmerdale viewers have spotted a glaring blunder following Heath Hope’s death.

On New Year’s Eve, Heath (Sebastian Dowling) joined twin sister Cathy Hope (Gabrielle Dowling) and friend Angelica King (Rebecca Bakes) in heading to a party in Hotten. After failing to find a lift, Cathy stole the keys to Wendy Posner’s (Susan Cookson) car and the trio raced to get to the party in time for midnight.

But disaster struck on the way when the car smashed into a wall. While Cathy and Angelica escaped unharmed, Heath, who was sat in the backseat, died from his injuries. It seems the village residents are all too familiar with car accidents.

In October, Chloe Harris (Jessie Elland) planned to take revenge on ex-fiancé Mackenzie Boyd (Lawrence Robb) and Charity Dingle (Emma Atkins) after learning they had slept together behind her back. Chloe schemed to leave them stranded in the middle of nowhere before driving away.

But as tension rose in the car as Charity demanded Chloe pull over, a van collided with their vehicle. The car was thrown and ended up teetering on the edge of a cliff.

Mack made it out of the car unharmed but was faced with a choice – save the mother of his son or the woman he was still in love with. He ended up choosing Charity, grabbing her hand whilst Chloe was left to die as the car plummeted off the cliff.

Mack chose to save Charity over Chloe

Despite the huge drop, Chloe miraculously survived the fall but was left critically injured. After being airlifted to hospital, Chloe was put into a medically-induced coma and her loved ones were told she may have permanent brain damage.

But less than two weeks after the crash, Chloe woke up from her coma and seemed to have no long-lasting injuries. Fans have now shared their confusion when comparing both accidents, with several questioning how Chloe was able to survive but Heath wasn’t.

One person wrote: “Anyone else as baffled as I am how Chloe can be hit by a van and go over a cliff and get out with a few scrapes while Heath sitting in the back of a cat dies after it hits a bridge head on?” A second agreed: “I can’t take heath dying all that serious in his random car accident when Chloe went off the side of a cliff and got impaled on a metal bar and was out of the hospital like three days later totally fine.”

Another added: “Tell me how Heath dies after the car he was in crashes into a wall with him in the BACK yet Chloe literally falls off a cliff in a car and walks away with hardly a scratch?” A fourth declared: “Nothing makes sense in this show anymore.” Someone else said: “Heath dies and yet Chloe completely recovers after careering down a cliff in a car?” as another responded: “Indeed, please please make it make sense!!!”
