Emmerdale fans were left up in arms after one “desperate” couple rekindle their steamy affair with many fuming the couple are “as bad as each other”.
Loyal fans of the ITV soap will know residents often find it hard to stay faithful in long-term relationships, with several characters embarking on risky affairs over the years. Most recently, Scottish hunk Mackenzie Boyd found himself in a sizzling affair with auburn beauty Chloe Harris behind his wife’s back.
And it appears as though the love bug is spreading after Tracy Metcalfe (played by Amy Walsh) rekindle with fierce romance with village bad boy Caleb Miligan (Will Ash). Last year, the pair struggled to keep their hands off each other.

Last week, Tracy called things off with the silver fox and returned the money he invested in her nursery business proposal. But she appeared to have a change of mind on Wednesday (January 10) when Caleb attempted to comfort her when Nate was forced to miss her celebratory dinner over a last-minute job.

Caleb popped round to Tracy’s house to offer an apology as he confessed how “hurt” he’d been when she cooled things off between them. Explaining why he sent Nate away, he gushed: “So yeah, I sent Nate away because I couldn’t stand to see him celebrate with you, because he’s the one making you happy.”
Tracy pointed out: “What we had was great, but it was wrong. I love my family” as the TV hunk mumbled: “I guess it’s not meant to be then, maybe you can’t have it all.”
It was at this point that the mum surprised viewers when she said: “I don’t know, I think today’s proven that I can, my family, the investment, a proper future.”

Later on in the show, Nate ran into the home in search of his house keys when he bumped into his wife who was wrapped up in a fluffy pink dressing gown. When the hunk asked why she was all ready for bed so early in the evening, Tracy brushed it off sharing her plans for a bubble bath and a good book.
After he left the house, Caleb ran down the stairs as he buttoned up his shirt, chuckling: “That was too close” as Tracy added: “I guess we need to be more careful then.”
It didn’t take long before fans flooded to the social media platform X – formerly known as Twitter – to share their frustrations online. One user penned: “Caleb and Tracy are suited together though, they are as tedious, boring and desperate as each other.”

Another agreed: “Tracy is definitely worse than Nate” as a third fumed: “Tracy couldn’t wait 5 secs for Nate to be out the door!” Other viewers were quick to point out Tracy’s hypocrisy after she nearly called things off with Nate years ago when he had a one night stand.
One user pointed out: “Remember when Tracy gave Nate hell (quite rightly too) for having a one night stand? #Emmerdale.” Another agreed: “She gave Nate hell for cheating once and she can’t even keep her hands off Caleb on #Emmerdale.”
