Emmerdale viewers were left rather distracted during a scene at the village’s veterinary surgery.
During Tuesday night’s (March 19) visit to the ITV show, newly married Belle left her friend Suzy Merton to her see her working as a secretary at the local vets. Knowing that Belle wanted to work at Take A Vow, Suzy informed her that there was an opening and she was baffled that her husband Tom didn’t tell her about the new opening.
But viewers were clearly distracted during the scene because they spotted some huge animals in the waiting room. They were shocked by just how large some of the furry patients were – which included a huge dog and a rabbit.

Heading over to X formerly known as Twitter, one fan said: “The animal cast booker: ‘Yes can we have the largest dog and largest rabbit in the world please.'”
Another said: “Animals? In the vets? Stop the press.” A third chimed: “Are they really big animals in the vets or are the owners really small?”
While a fourth added: “It was nice to see some animals in the vets waiting room. It always annoys me how barely any characters in soaps have pets most people have cats or dogs or both.” Meanwhile another added: “It comes to something when the highlight of an episode is oversized animals at the vets.”
Later on in the episode, an upset Belle confronted Tom on why he didn’t tell her about the job opportunity. Trying to explain that he wanted to ensure that he started a family soon with Belle, Tom insisted that Belle working alongside would be better.
But fans at home, who have been growing increasingly concerned with Tom’s behaviour warned Belle not to have a baby for him. Heading straight to X, one viewer said: “Belle for the love of all that is holy, DO NOT reproduce with that absolute wetwipe of a husband of yours. He will completely destroy and alienate.”
Another also said: “Oh oh. Tom and Belle creating their own nuclear family – a perfect breeding ground for abuse.”
Ever since Tom and Belle tied the knot, Tom’s controlling behaviour has been getting increasingly worse. So much so that fans think Belle could be in serious danger.
