Emmerdale fans believe Ella Forster is related to Gabby Thomas.
Ella, played by Coronation Street star Paula Lane, recently arrived in the village and struck up a friendship with Mandy Dingle (Lisa Riley). Mandy attended an vets’ social do with partner Paddy Kirk (Dominic Brunt) when she was insulted by the managing director.
When Paddy refused to stand up for Mandy, Ella stepped in and defended her before pouring a drink on her boss. Ella made her way to the village the next day, now jobless.

After meeting Manpreet Sharma (Rebecca Sarker) in The Hide, she revealed there was a job going for a receptionist at the surgery. But as Ella settled into village life, fans were distracted by something.
Taking to X, formerly known as Twitter, viewers couldn’t help but notice that Ella bares a striking resemblance to Gabby (Rosie Bentham), with several speculating the two could be related. One wrote: “Ella looks so much like Gabby.”
“This girl reminds me of Gabby,” agreed a second. Another added: “Thought that was Gabby at first.” Someone else shared on Reddit: “Gabby and Ella look so alike, could they be related?”
Paula, who portrayed Kylie Platt on Corrie from 2010 to 2016, previously touched upon her character having a possible link to another village resident. The 37-year-old teased: “There’s no family ties that I’m aware of in the village but that can change.”
Despite still being best known for her iconic Corrie character, Paula says enough time has passed for her to star on a rival soap. She told Daily Star and other press: “I’m always a big believer in going with what’s put in front of you and the past seven years have been really exciting.
“I think when you are such a familiar face it’s nice to give the audience a bit of a breather and I feel like I’ve changed as well personally. It’s a good bit of time that has passed and I think it’s healthy.”
The actress added: “I think it is a natural fit and obviously being from Yorkshire as well I feel like I’m going to fit in here and it works for me family wise so as an actor that’s brilliant. I just feel like I’m going to feel very much at home here.”
Paul went on: “Timing was right, I think a manifested it and then a conversation came about and then through that a seed was planted and the magic happened, a little bit of coincidence but it really did fall in my lap and I feel really grateful and very thankful. I want to do the best with it that I can.”
