Christine Tremarco has joined the cast of Emmerdale.
The acclaimed actress is due to make her debut on screen later this mont as bolshy and boisterous newcomer Rose., who is known to Kim Tate’s husband, Will Taylor, played by Dean Andrews.
She has recently been living in Benidorm and her arrival is sure to cause a stir when Will fails to mention her to Kim, played by Claire King. Christine has a wealth of television credits to her name and fans will recognise her from the likes of The Responder, Safe House and Casualty.

Reflecting on her new role, Christine said: “I am thrilled to be joining Emmerdale! To be working with such a wonderful cast and crew along with the brilliant writing and production team is an absolute joy. Rose is so much fun to play. She is free spirited, boisterous and totally mischievous with a steely edge and a big heart.”

It new signing comes days after Kate Brooks revealed she has been appointed as the new producer for Coronation Street, meaning she will be leaving her role as an Emmerdale producer after eight years .The TV veteran has been appointed as the new producer for Corrie, taking over from Iain MacLeod following his promotion to executive producer for continuing drama.
Kate’s new role means she will be leaving her job as an Emmerdale producer after eight years. “I’ve had a wonderful time working on Emmerdale and I feel immensely proud to be part of a team that has achieved such great success over the past eight years,” she said in a statement.
“I’ve absolutely loved my time on the show, and I’ve had the privilege of working with such a hugely talented and hard-working bunch of people, who also happen to be the loveliest, too.” Kate continued: “Both professionally and personally, Emmerdale has given me so much more than I ever could have imagined, and for that I shall be eternally grateful. Thanks Emmerdale, it’s been an absolute pleasure.”
Emmerdale airs weeknights on ITV1 and ITVX at 7.30pm
