The former soap star continued: “My very first novel will be published by @baskervillejmp, in the UK & Commonwealth. This would absolutely not be possible without my amazing agent @ktgreenstreet and the entire team at @paperliterary.
“Life just continues to get more surreal; to have something you’ve dreamed about since you were six years old (swipe!) come to fruition is something beyond words. This one is a particularly special fig.”
The second snap was a photo of Jessie’s diary entry made when she was six, where she wrote that her dream job was “author and actor”. Her book, titled The Ladie Upstairs is set for release in May 2025.
Jessie’s former co-stars couldn’t wait to congratulate her in the comments, with Lawrence Robb writing: “You’re incredible! Utterly incredible!!”

During her turbulent two years in the Dales, Chloe became embroiled in a love triangle with Mackenzie and Charity (Emma Atkins). In October, the trio ended up in horror car accident and Mackenzie was forced to choose between the two as their car teetered on the edge of a cliff.
He chose Charity and Chloe plummeted to the floor below. She miraculously survived the accident, but planned the ultimate revenge on her ex by fleeing the country with their son, Reuben. Chloe enlisted the help of her gangster father Harry (Robert Beck), who ended up holding Mackenzie hostage.
Charity killed Harry as she tried to save Mackenzie’s life. In return for co-operating that Harry’s death was caused in self-defence, Chloe was able to leave the village with Reuben and without interference from Mackenzie.
