Eamonn Holmes has been cast into a sorry state as he adapts to life after his marriage breakdown, says a close friend.
The GB News host, adjusting to his new life setup following the separation from Ruth Langsford, seems to be getting used to his new dwelling. He moved out of his comfortable home shared with now-estranged wife Ruth Langsford after announcing their separation last month.
His current residence is reported to be a modest flat located near a roundabout, where due to his ongoing mobility issues, he is chauffeured to and from the GB News studios in Paddington, West London.

Worried friends reveal their concern for the 64-year-old, alleging that he lives a rather conservative lifestyle now.
An insider revealed to The Daily Mail: “It’s all a rather sorry affair. It was only a few months ago he was living in his lovely family home with Ruth. Yes, they were troubled, but she was caring for him and he had some kind of normality.
“Now, he is alone in a flat living a pretty solitary existence. His marriage ending after such a long time has been something he has found difficult to accept.”
These updates follow shortly after Eamonn, at age 64, returned to the limelight in the wake of news about his break up with Ruth, reports the Mirror. Eamonn recently graced his first public event at the annual TRIC Awards while refuting allegations that he’d slighted Ruth during his on-stage speech.
On Tuesday, Eamonn Holmes was over the moon as he snagged a prestigious award, telling the crowd: “Thank you very much for this award. We were up against world class programmes and that makes it a little bit more special. Sometimes we all think about imposter syndrome.”
He then revealed a personal health struggle, saying: “I went for an operation a year and a half ago and it went wrong. I got two things in my back that I didn’t want.”
Despite the buzz, Ruth Langsford reportedly felt a sting from Eamonn’s speech, although insiders claim his “comments had nothing to do with her”. Clearing the air, Eamonn’s rep told The Mirror: “Eamonn’s comments had nothing to do with anything other than the two pins in his back after his surgeries.”
At the glitzy event, Eamonn didn’t shy away from opening up about his recent split, confessing to the audience: “I’m not OK. This is not a good time at all,” and shared his hopes for the future with: “It’s too early to say but I hope we can still be friends.”
Meanwhile, Ruth has been spotted still rocking her engagement and wedding bling despite the breakup news. She was seen having a blast last week at Giovanni Pernice and Anton du Beke’s show, invited by her pal Anton, 57, where she shone in a snap with the dancing star.
Eamonn has reportedly been seeking guidance from relationship counsellor Katie Alexander, 42, amid the challenging circumstances in his life, with the two appearing to become increasingly close. An insider revealed to The Mirror that Eamonn’s newfound companion is committed for the long run.
The source close to Katie stated: “She is helping Eamonn through the tough times but doesn’t want to be seen as a marriage wrecker.
“The friendship has grown in recent months but Eamonn’s marriage has been over for some time. She wants to help Eamonn with his situation and their friendship has grown over a period of time. She feels she will be close to him for a long period and is in this for the long haul.”
