The highly-anticipated season four trailer of Emily in Paris has finally been released. Netflix has shared a two-minute-long dramatic teaser showing what lies ahead for the series’ protagonist.
As it teases the upcoming season, it also recalls the tumultuous events of the third series. The hit comedy drama, penned by Sex and the City’s Darren Star, premiered on Netflix back in 2020 and captures the life of marketing executive Emily Cooper, played by Lily Collins, who relocates from Chicago to the romantic city of Paris.
Over three captivating seasons, many troubles have befallen her – and some she crafted herself, notably her uncomfortable love triangle involving chef-next-door Gabriel (Lucas Bravo) and London lad Alfie (Lucien Laviscount).

The just-released trailer today (July 22), shows Emily realising that she hasn’t made full use of being solo in the city known for love. Reminiscing about her love triangle to her best mate Mindy (Ashley Park), uncertainty arises surrounding Gabriel and his on-again off-again partner Camille (Camille Razat), especially as they are now expecting a child together, reports the Manchester Evening News.
“Well, no relationship is perfect,” says Mindy, trying to comfort her. And speaking of imperfect relationships, it transpires that Alfie and Emily’s break up last season has thrown a wrench into Sylvie’s latest promotional campaign. Emily endeavours to mend things with Alfie at his boxing training but he doesn’t appear ready to talk. She also needs to make peace with Camille.
The drama ramps up in the trailer as Gabriel and Emily have a blazing row. Gabriel shouts: “I’m so sick of the secrets,” while Emily fires back “So am I!”. With so many secrets to pick from, it’s anyone’s guess exactly what has sparked the fresh wave of drama in Season 4.
In another moment in the trailer, Emily looks chic in a black and white striped bodysuit, topped with a wide-brimmed black hat and a mysterious black mask at a swanky do, where she says: “I promised myself I’d be open to any possibility – and this seems like it’s the one”.
As hinted before, Emily’s ditching the Parisian vibes for some Italian flair as she jets off to Rome for some fresh escapades this season. And just last week, the show dropped the bombshell that five fresh faces will be joining the fun in season four.
Joining the gang is Rupert Everett who’ll be playing Sylvie’s (Philippine Leroy-Beaulieu) old mate and tycoon Giorgio. Other newbies include Eugenio Franceschini as Marcello, Thalia Besson as Genevieve, Anna Galiena as Antonia Muratori and Raoul Bova as Giancarlo.
The first five episodes of Emily in Paris S4 will air on August 15, while the second instalment releases on September 12.
