Fred Sirieix addresses Gordon Ramsay’s absence from new travel show with Gino D’Acampo

Fred Sirieix has admitted it’s tough penciling in time with Gordon Ramsay.

The First Dates star has bagged himself a brand new travel series called Emission Impossible with celeb chef and pal Gino D’Acampo. But sadly, the third part of their TV trio Gordon won’t be on it.

Fans are used to seeing Gordon, Gino and Fred hunt for great food on their ITV travel shows like Gordon, Gino and Fred’s Road Trip and Gordon, Gino and Fred Go Greek. The bickering food buffs have been to the likes of America, Spain, Italy, and Morocco.

Fred told Daily Star and other press about his new show at the BAFTA TV Awards in London on Sunday (May 12). He told Daily Star: “This year I’m going by myself with Gino.

“We’re going to do a show called Emission Impossible. What we’re going to do is travel to European destinations and try to be as green as we can along the way, which is going to be a nightmare. Gino is going to moan and he’s going to be very upset, but okay, I can take it.”

He appears Gordon couldn’t join them on the eco-friendly challenge as he is too busy opening restaurants across the country, but he also told Daily Star he hopes Gordon will be able to come back for a new project next year. Asked if Gordon was going to return, he said: “Yeah, of course.

“Of course. It’s a question of schedule and timing. Gordon is always opening new restaurants here, there and everywhere, you know? So he’s got less time than us, but we’ll see next year, hopefully.”

Fred and Gino will visit Austria, previously voted the greenest city in the world, to tack down sustainable produce and be as environmentally friendly as possible.

The pair said: “We’re thrilled to be upcycled by ITV for another action-packed adventure and can’t wait to cook up some fantastic sustainable dishes whilst hopefully stirring up debate around these important issues.

“We might not come up with the recipe to save the planet but we hope to entertain, inform and inspire the audience to think about making changes in their own lives.”
