Dressing like Grandad from Only Fools and Horses is the new fashion craze for Gen Z.

Youngsters are going mad for old woolly jumpers and bowling sweaters like Lennard Pearce’s character wore in the BBC classic. Del Boy and Rodney’s grandad was rarely seen without his trademark cardigan, old shirt and cravat.

And now teenagers are adopting the look.

The hashtag “grandpacore” has racked up 46million posts on TikTok. There are also 153million knitting videos with the hobby so popular that the platform has been dubbed “KnitTok”.

It comes after stars like singer Billie Eilish and supermodel Bella Hadid were spotted donning cricket-style sweaters.

Bella, 28, sported a burgundy, navy and grey pullover along with a trench coat on the front row at Milan Fashion Week last month.
