Rob Rinder is set to stir up the Good Morning Britain lineup as he returns to the ITV breakfast programme.
The telly judge, aged 45, known for his no-nonsense rulings on Judge Rinder, is stepping into Adil Ray’s shoes on GMB. The actor, who’s been gracing our screens since 2019, usually teams up with Charlotte Hawkins when regular hosts Susanna Reid and Richard Madeley are away.
Adil, however, is off on a two-week hiatus from his presenting duties. He reassured his followers “not to panic” about his temporary exit.

Taking to X – the platform that’s taken over Twitter – he posted: “Thanks for watching @gmb. Off for Fridays over the Easter break. Back with you from April 12 peeps, and for quite a few Fridays until September. FriRays they’re all calling it. Well one person did. That’ll do.”
The Sun has said that Rob will fill in for Adil during his break, presenting alongside Charlotte. Meanwhile, Countryfile’s Sean Fletcher will be delivering the national news updates, and Laura Tobin will keep us posted on the weather front, reports the Mirror.
Adding some sparkle to the morning, Richard Arnold will be dishing out the latest showbiz gossip. ITV has confirmed to The Mirror that a few presenters are taking an Easter breather, with Kate Garraway and Ed Balls gearing up to take the helm this Monday.
Rob has been backed by his GMB colleagues over the years and shares a close friendship with Susanna Reid. In 2022, Susanna stood by him as he made his return to the ITV morning show following the “sudden” and “unexpected” passing of his cherished dog Rocco.
Discussing his sorrow, the Judge Rinder star and guest GMB host said to Susanna: “He was a friend of yours, like all dogs he could see the soul of somebody even where they may express their undivided indifference to them.”
Susanna then offered her support, telling him: “I know how close you were to Rocco,” while her friend confessed that Rocco’s loss had left him feeling “lonely”. Robert continued: “It’s not just people, it’s about needing to have an emotional connection and feeling a sense of mission and purpose, and people and kids and family bring that. For a lot of people it’s a pet and in my case, it was the structure of my day.”
He was supported by his co-host on the show and fans also rushed to share their support online. Rob will be back on air much to the delight of many of his fans.
GMB continues weekdays from 6am on ITV.
