Gordon Ramsay is facing his own kitchen nightmare after a group of squatters have taken over his fancy £13million pub.
The television chef, 57, is reportedly facing a tough battle too, as the savvy squatters have put up a legal notice threatening anyone who tries to kick them out. It is said that at least six “professional squatters” have taken over Gordon’s York & Albany pub, in central London.
The group have used the eatery’s kitchen appliances to barricade themselves in and have even glued the locks shut. They swooped in and took over after the bar was temporarily closed for a handover.

Gordon was in the middle of a multi-million pound lease negotiation when the group stormed the pub, near Regent’s Park. He called in police last week, but has so far been unable to remove the squatters from the Grade-II listed building.
In photos obtained by The Sun, the posh pub can be seen with debris left all over the floor. A brazen squatter was even seen taking a snooze on one of the plush couches.
A source told the publication: “It’s an absolute nightmare scenario for poor Gordon.” It’s reported that the group somehow managed to get past all of the security and CCTV to get in.
“They’ve now boarded themselves in the building and are slowly taking over the place, leaving their crap everywhere and brazenly telling locals this is now their home,” the source continued. “They’ve glued tight all the locks and are cooking up a storm in the kitchen, which is especially galling for Gordon.”
It’s reported that there are at least five men and one woman in the group. They’re said to have taken over the sofas and bedrooms in the building, which is also a boutique hotel.
One of the squatters refused to speak to The Sun and tried to hide. They claim the law preventing squatting does not apply to the building as it is “non-residential”.
They claim anybody who tries to remove them “by violence” faces six months in jail and/or a “fine of up to £5,000”.
The Met Police confirmed: “Police were made aware of squatters at a disused property in Parkway, Regent’s Park, NW1 on Wednesday, 10 April.” However as squatters are a “civil matter”, police did not attend.
