Halle Berry has come out swinging.
The acterss spoke out against accusations from her ex claiming he’s a sex addict, scoffing: “I don’t believe that s***”. The Oscar-winning star didn’t pull any punches as she refuted her former flame Eric Benet’s assertion of being hooked on hanky-panky, even though she stopped short of dropping names. I
It was back in the day, circa 2002, when whispers came out that Benet sought help for his supposed sex addiction. During her chinwag on Dax Shepard’s Armchair Expert podcast, Halle opened up about Eric, making it crystal clear that she’s having none of this sex addiction malarkey.

In no uncertain terms, Berry made her stance known: “I had one husband who said he was a sex addict. But I don’t f***ing believe that s***.” Berry and Benet tied the knot back in 2001 after a two-year whirlwind romance, only for things to go pear-shaped by 2003; their split was sorted by 2005.
Their joint statement didn’t beat around the bush: “Eric and I have had marital problems for some time now and have tried to work things out together. However, at this point, I feel we need time apart to revaluate our union. We ask that you respect our privacy as we are going through this emotional time.”, reports the Mirror.
Gossip mongers had a field day suggesting Benet’s roving eye got the best of him multiple times owing to his so-called sex addiction. Nevertheless, Benet himself put a lid on those rumours, flatly rejecting them during a sit-down with ABC News.
In 2004, he made it clear: “I am not a sex addict. I am a person who… through a series of emotional events, troubles, challenges, made some really, really stupid, painful mistakes.” Halle Berry’s romantic history includes her first marriage to David Justice from 1993 to 1997 and her third hitch to Olivier Martinez, which lasted from 2013 to 2016.
The Hollywood siren recently dished on the time she turned down none other than the late music icon Prince. The Catwoman”star was at one of the Purple Rain maestro’s gigs at the iconic Key Club on Sunset Boulevard when Prince apparently tried to woo her with old-school paper notes during the show.
Chatting on Jimmy Kimmel Live last month, she revealed: “He had somebody come out with a piece of paper. You know how kids do, ‘Do you like me? Yes or no? ‘ I went, ‘Yes! ‘ I mean, I’m at his concert, right?” But alas, it seems fate had other plans, as the two never got around to an actual date. She continued: “Came back out again [with another piece of paper that said], ‘Would you go out with me? ‘” And when probed about her reply, she confessed: “No. I didn’t send the paper back.”
