One My 600lb Life star is struggling with a huge 100lb mass hanging between his legs.
In a scene from the show, J.T. explained that “exercise and walking is getting hard” because of the lymphedema mass. He added that losing weight actually “makes it worse” as the mass “isn’t tight,” which means it begins to swing between his legs.
The TLC star ventured to the park and sat down as he admitted to being “all alone” and feeling “trapped” as he navigates life with the growth. “I’m having no trouble with my diet, I just need to figure out how to maintain my workout routine. So, I’m going to talk to Dr Now about it and see what can be done, especially the pain because I don’t want to start going backwards.”

J.T. said he has “given up so much to get to this point” and that his weight and the lump have been keeping him down”. Luckily he is “staying on track,” although he is beginning to struggle with exercise.
The official TLC Instagram account shared a clip of J.T. on their page as their 2 million followers discussed his condition in the comment section. In the caption, TLC wrote: “J.T. is losing weight but the 100lb lymphedema on his leg is slowing down his progress. Will Dr Now approve removal? Don’t miss the season finale of #My600lbLife: Where Are They Now, Wednesday at 8/7c.”
Down in the comments, TLC fans gathered to discuss J.T.’s condition, with one person writing: “Such a handsome young man plagued by this illness.” Others questioned “what happened to him” while others said the growth “has to be so difficult to walk around with”.
“Bless you. Don’t give up. You will get help soon, push through,” wrote another TLC fan while someone commented that the lymphedema “must weigh more than him”. Some supportive fans left him red heart emojis in the comments.
“Poor guy, feel bad losing [weight] but that lymphatic problem is slowing him down,” read another comment. Someone actually suggested “tying it up to help alleviate the pain” as more people urged him to “keep going”.
