Confirming the news, she captioned: “Very excited to be joining the agency this summer. @celebsgodating good luck @annawilliamsonofficial @paulbrunson @luvbites.co,” followed by a love heart and an laughing face emoji.
Within second of posting, the comments section was buzzing, many offering up their well wishes for the mum-of-three – but others wanted to know how they could get on the programme to meet their idol.
One fan penned: “OMG I think I wanna date you,” as another said: “Get me on this show,” a third added: “I’d do anything for five minutes with her.” Others couldn’t resist telling the ex soap star how “stunning” and “beautiful” she looked.
The line-up for the new Celebs Go Dating series was confirmed a few days ago, with Helen among the group looking for love.
Love Island’s Chris Taylor has also been confirmed by Channel 4 officials to be joining Anna and Paul.
Meanwhile, Helen recently opened up about her devastating breakdown. The soap star bravely spoke candidly about her emotional struggle after splitting from footballer fiancé Scott Sinclair.
The pair had been an item for 13 years before parting ways, with Helen then spiralling into a “very scary” psychotic episode following their break-up. It all went sour for the Corrie star during a New Year’s break to Bali.
Helen had jetted off with her children Matilda, eight, Delilah, five, and Charlie, three. Speaking about her mental health ordeal, she said: “My kids weren’t with me on Christmas Day because I like to be really fair with my ex, and it sounds so silly because it was only one day, but it hit me really hard.
“The plan was for me to take them to Bali for New Year instead, and although I enjoyed it, I didn’t feel myself. I was struggling. I felt terrible when I got back, I was crying all the time, I felt so low,” the social media influencer told The Mirror.
It was at this point that Helen’s nanny stepped in to call her parents, alerting her family that their daughter needed help. The TV star explained that she’d tried to carry on following her relationship breakdown but hadn’t given herself enough time to process her own emotions, that teamed with the prescription drugs she’d been taking sent her into psychosis.
Speaking to the publication about her well being, Helen explained she’d been left struggling to feel “normal”, she been taking medication for ADHD but suffered an “awful reaction”. Helen explained: “It was really sad and very scary. I was seeing things and I felt like I was in danger all the time.”
Now fighting fit, the I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! star is ready to speak openly about her mental health woes, in hope that she can support others going through the same.
