Holly Willoughby has broken her silence after Phillip Schofield appeared to make a dig at her.
Former This Morning presenter Holly, 43, took to Instagram on Monday (September 30) after axed ITV star Phillip returned to TV earlier this week. Schofield had not been seen on our screens for 16 months after leaving both This Morning and ITV last May.
Both Holly and Phil were staples of the channel’s schedule, regularly appearing together to host some of the biggest shows on TV. Among these were This Morning, but also Dancing on Ice and the National Television Awards.

But after Phil left the show after confessing to his “unwise but not illegal” relationship with a younger male colleague on the show, Holly appeared to leave Phil in the past. Instead, she chose to continue presenting the show until October when she faced a kidnap and murder threat from Gavin Plumb.
Phillip has now appeared on TV for the first time since the debacle, starring in Channel 5 ‘s Cast Away. In the show, which saw the ex-Cube host marooned off the coast of Madagascar for ten days, Phillip consistently hit out at his former co-stars, blasting them for not helping him in his time of need.
However it seems Holly was not tuning in as she was hitting the town on Monday night. She uploaded a series of snaps of her at the theatre supporting her soap star pal Tamzin Outhwaite during her production of Abigail’s Party in Stratford.
Beaming with smiles, Holly wowed fans as she embraced former soap star Tamzin, 53. The couple kept things casual as they both sported black tops, which only added to their chic aesthetic.
Gushing over her pal, Holly dubbed Tamzin “simply incredible”, urging her followers to attend the play if they could, followed by a read heart emoji and a link to buy tickets. Phillip, meanwhile, seemingly mocked Holly on his Channel 5 show.
Holly had returned to This Morning two weeks after Phil left the show behind in the wake of his affair scandal. Addressing viewers directly, she asked: “Firstly, are you okay? I hope so. It feels very strange sat here without Phil.”
On the new programme, Phillip was with his family a barbecue when he said to his children: “If you’re ok, then we’re ok, and I’m ok… are you ok?” Fans interpreted this as a dig towards his former best pal, and only added to the wave of hate he received after the first of three episodes aired.
Viewers took to social media to slam the disgraced presenter, saying that he lacked remorse for what he did. Schofield, on the other hand, was happy with the reception of the first episode, as he continued to post on his social media beaming with smiles.
