Hollyoaks star Jorgie Porter has teased a stint on an iconic rival soap.
The 36-year-old has played lovable Theresa McQueen on and off since 2008 and left the village twice before. She has no plans on leaving the soap, but she admits a role on Aussie soap Neighbours would be rather appealing.
The actress spoke to Daily Star at the BAFTA TV Awards on Sunday (May 11), revealing she could be tempted by a job Down Under. Asked if she’d ever swap soaps, she laughed: “How could you say that! I think obviously you can never say never, can you? You never know.

“I mean you know, if Australia called. Neighbours…” However, Hollyoaks fans needn’t worry, because she told us she doesn’t intent on leaving anytime soon.

Addressing her future in Hollyoaks, Jorge said: “I left twice and come back because I love the place.” However, she admitted her colleagues are used to her saying goodbye.
“The first time I left the whole crew in the building said goodbye but the second time they were like ‘Oh you’ve already gone’. I love Theresa so I hope she does last forever.”

Jorgie also revealed that Theresa is about be part of a steamy love triangle storyline. Teasing the drama, Jorgie added: “There’s a love triangle scenario and a kind of throuple situation.
“Apparently that’s quite a cool thing now isn’t it and people are kind of into that kind of thing. It’s weird, it’s awkward and you’re not spit swapping per say but you are kissing each other in a way. It’s probably like being in a throuple to be fair.”

Neighbours was axed by Channel 5 in 2022 before it got rebooted Amazon last year. The show launched the career of many stars, including Barbie’s Margot Robbie, and singers Jason Donovan and Kylie Minogue.
Jorgie recently revealed she’d let her partner Ollie Piotrowski plan their wedding, and even her dress. The pair share their son Forest.
She told OK!: “I’ve always suggested that he does it all and he is like, ‘Absolutely not! I plan everything in our world, this is one thing that I’m not doing…’” she laughed. “He would do a really good wedding! He has high standards. I’d even trust him to find me a good dress!”
Hollyoaks airs weeknights on E4 at 7pm and first look episodes can be streamed on Channel 4 at 7.30pm
