Hollyoaks has kicked off a jaw-dropping storyline which has never been tackled by a UK soap.
Fans of the Channel 4 soap will be aware that Mercedes McQueen (Jennifer Metcalfe) was cheating on Felix Westwood (Richard Blackwood) with Warren Fox (Jamie Lomas) for months.
She later learned that she was pregnant with twins and viewers have been eager to find out who the father is, and in recent scenes they learned it is both of them.

“Two babies, two dads,” Mercedes told the stunned fathers-to-be. “Congratulations. We are having twins.” She explained that she had heteropaternal superfecundation, which is a very rare occurrence where a second egg cell is released during the same cycle.
Former pals Warren and Felix wanted to know how soon after sleeping with one she slept with the other, but she shot down the question. “Look, this isn’t just about two, you know,” she snapped. “I am carrying both of your babies. We really need to find a way of making this work.” Unable to take the news, Warren stormed out.
As if all this wasn’t enough, Warren is currently blaming Felix for the death of his daughter Ella Richardson, even though fans know it was actually Ste Hay who is responsible, and is looking for revenge — which he plans to do on the fishing trip he’s invited his on-off best friend on. Felix has been unaware of Warren’s intentions, but viewers were left without a doubt as they were shown a hidden gun in Warren’s fishing box.
As the deadly showdown is teased, Artificial Intelligence tool, Bard AI, told Daily Star: “Hollyoaks is known for dramatic twists and turns, so a shocking outcome is possible. Felix is generally portrayed as a moral character, while Warren has a history of violence. However, both have shown moments of desperation and impulsivity.

“The writers may consider the long-term impact of killing off a major character like Warren but here are alternative ways to resolve the conflict without resorting to murder, such as legal consequences, emotional breakthroughs, or even reconciliation.”
It comes after Channel 4 commissioner Ben Wadey promised a “blockbuster” year for Hollyoaks. He recently told Daily Star and other press: “It’s going to be a really, really big year for Hollyoaks. We’re back telling those stories other soaps wouldn’t dare tell and there’s stories we’ll be announcing in coming months where you’ll go ‘Oh my god, I can’t believe Hollyoaks are doing that’. The audience are going to be in for a real treat this year.”
