Hollyoaks lovebirds Lacey Lloyd and Nadira Valli have quit the village.
The couple rode off into the sunset to be together during Thursday’s (January 11) episode on E4, a beautiful love story blossomed from a tragic tale of loss with Rayne Royce’s (Jemma Donovan) killer being revealed to be Romeo Nightingale (Owen Warner) earlier this week.
Annabelle Davis and Ashling O’Shea, who play Lacey and Nadira retrospectively, have both spoken out following their emotional exits as their characters finally get their happy ending.

Annabelle said in a video for fans: “So, Nadira and Lacey have left the village together. They got their happy ending, which I was initially quite surprised to read. After Lacey’s abrupt exit, for Nadira to be able to sit down and listen and still be supportive, I think is incredible. For both of them to go through everything they have over the past few months and still have each other I think is a real testament to their relationship.
Those scenes were really lovely to film with Ash. After Lacey’s harsh exit, for her to be able to come back and lay out all of those feelings, because we don’t always know the best way to handle some things. I really miss them both a lot but I hope they’re both having a lovely time.”
Ashling said in a separate video: “I felt so conflicted, a lot like Nadira, when Lacey came back because the last couple of years have not been easy for Nadira, she’s gone through a lot and she’s grieved so much from the life she thought she was going to have to her friendship with Shaq to her relationship with Juliet, then Juliet when she passed away. She has been in vulnerable position for quite a long time.
“She deserves a happy ending and it’s so nice. I’m glad she can go into this next chapter of her life happy with less drama and it’s sweet she gets to ride off into the sunset in a now healthy and kind relationship. I’m happy for her.” The pair had previously explored their romantic feelings for each other, with Nadira being left devastated by Lacey’s decision to leave without saying goodbye in the aftermath of influencer Rayne Royce’s death.

Following Lacey’s surprise return to help defend Prince after he was accused of Rayne’s murder, Nadira had been struggling to see her former flame again. The pair then cleared the air, with the paralegal apologising for her sudden departure. Nadira and Lacey decided to share their true feelings for each other and begin a new life together.
