Hollyoaks star Owen Warner got into a heated altercation with a dog owner in a car park.
The actor had spotted two dogs trapped in the stranger’s car with no windows open to let air in. Owen was coming back from his job at Hits UK radio when he saw the animals, and decided to show his fans the worrying situation in clips on Instagram.
He told his fans on Instagram that he stayed by the car for ages because he cares about dogs and wanted to speak to the owner. He took to Instagram with a video from an underground car park, saying: “So I finished the radio show over an hour ago and I am now spending my sat night stood by this car because people don’t know how to look after dogs.”

In the clip, he showed a little white dog in the front seat of the car and said: “Poor little dog was barking his head off and has now settled now. No windows [open].” Then he showed a crate in the back seat where another dog was, and he was really upset about it.
Owen continued: “These poor dogs man, look at that one in the back in that tiny little cage. I don’t know how long this car has been there. I know it’s not that hot so it’s technically not as bad but it’s still bad, man. You can’t leave dogs in a car with no windows open.”
The video cut to the driver returning to his vehicle before confronting the soap star, who finished second to Jill Scott in the 2022 series of I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here!. Owen shouts to the owner: “ro, you left two dogs in there!”
The man responded: “Yeah, and?” Owen went on the offensive and told him: “I’ve called the police and RSPCA, no windows open. Look how distressed they are, man.” The owner got annoyed and swore at Owen, asking him: “What’s your f****** problem, stop videoing me.” The man then made a grab for Owen’s phone in an attempt to stop him filming.”
Owen hit back at him, and demanded: “Don’t touch me bro, I am going to video you. You have got a little cage like that, no respect or apologies to the dogs?” The soap star continued to slam the dog owner, telling him not to hold the dog around its neck.
The bloke then roared at Owen: “How long have you been here?”, to which Owen replies that he’s been there for two hours. The guy with the dogs then angrily bellows “f*** off!” before skating out of the car park.
After this face-off, Owen said: “Learn to look after your dogs, don’t leave them in the car for that long just because you want to go for a meal.” Owen captioned his Instagram post with the video as: “I wasn’t going to post this but the lack of remorse shown and aggression towards me made me think I should, don’t get dogs if you don’t know how to look after them.”
