Home and Away star Maddy Jevic has joined the cast of Married at First Sight Australia as a “bombshell intruder bride”.
The actress will be one of two brides set to shake things up during season 11 of the reality show alongside model Jade Pywell. Maddy is best known for her role as Amber Simmonds on the Aussie soap, making her debut in 2020.
The feisty character was introduced as the carer of John Palmer (Shane Withington) after he had a stroke, but her complicated history with Colby Thorne (Tim Franklin), Willow Harris (Sarah Roberts) and Dean Thompson (Paddy O’Connor) soon unravelled.

Amber was revealed to be the sister of Dean and Colby’s friend, Jai, who was killed in a car crash in 2012 while the boys were involved in the River Boys gang. Her romantic history with Dean was made apparent and he discovered Amber was the mother of his child.
In 2021, Amber bid farewell to Summer Bay along with her son Jai (River Jarvis). Maddy has now swapped soap for reality TV as she prepares to make her MAFS debut.
Sources told Daily Mail Australia that fellow cast members believed Maddy was a “mole” purposely planted by production. She reportedly cause alarm bells to ring amongst her co-stars when she claimed her job was a psychic medium as opposed to an actress.
Maddy will be paired with Melbourne-based pest control worker Ash Galati, who is covered in tattoos and has a passion for Thai boxing. According to Nine, season 11 of MAFS AU will “bring a fresh take on the series with one of the most diverse cast of brides and grooms”.
There will be a more age-diverse mix with the introduction of the show’s oldest ever participant as well as a same-sex couple. It’s believed that Maddy and her husband-to-be will join the show a number of weeks after the first set of couples tie the knot.
As well as Home and Away, Maddy portrayed Nurse Lee Radcliffe in 22 episodes of Foxtel’s Wentworth. In another notable role, she played Brianna Wheeler in Upper Middle Bogan, starring in 24 episodes between 2013 and 2016. She also had a brief stint in award-winning series Offspring.
