Hugh Grant once confessed how he finds shooting sex scenes a “turn-on”.
The 63-year-old stole hearts across the globe in the 1990s, thanks to his breakout role in Four Weddings and a Funeral role. From then, he quickly cemented himself as a leading man and everyone’s go-to star for various Hollywood films.
From appearances in classic flicks like Bridget Jones’s Diary and Love Actually, to recently transitioning into more dramatic roles, Hugh has kept himself busy over the years. He’s also reaped the rewards of his acting skills, having bagged both a BAFTA and a Golden Globe.

However, life hasn’t always been easy going for The Undoing star. In 1995, he was famously arrested after being caught with a sex worker by police on Hollywood’s Sunset Boulevard.
And being the King of romcoms, Hugh has had his fair share of sex scenes throughout his career. The actor has got down and dirty on-screen for movies like Four Weddings and a Funeral and Notting Hill in the past.
But for the dad-of-five, he doesn’t mind the saucy moments at all. In fact, he finds bedroom scenes “quite a turn-on.”
He told W magazine in 2016: “Sex scenes are something else. The conventional response to sex scenes is that they’re horrible and not sexy and it’s all so unnatural but I’ve always found filming sex scenes to be quite a turn-on.”
Hugh added: “I like the experience of being in a sexual position when you’re not supposed to be in one.” While back in 2003 he previously shared how he “gets aroused” shooting the more racy scenes.
“I’ve always enjoyed sex scenes, though you’re not really supposed to,” he told The Sydney Morning Herald. Hugh went on: “The classic answer is, ‘Oh, it’s not sexy at all because there are so many technicians standing around.’ But I’ve always found them extremely arousing.”
Back in December, Hugh poked fun at himself saying that he is “too old and too fat” to keep starring in romantic comedies. In an interview on the Drew Barrymore Show, Hugh went on to reveal that he isn’t doing any more romcoms.
Hugh said: “‘I told you I got a bit better. I got a little less bad after I had children, got married, and got happier. ‘I got too old and fat and ugly to do romantic comedies obviously, so I got off with more interesting things.”
