Idris Elba’s wife claims topless women often hurl themselves at her famous husband

Idris Elba’s wife has been “almost trampled in the rush” as shirtless women throw themselves at the hunk when they’re out in public.

Sabrina Dhowre Elba said she’d be enjoying a “tender” moment with her actor hubby when fans approach him in swimwear. Women bombard the Luther star saying “I love you” and even taking their shirts off, Sabrina, 34, said. She opened up on life with the star, 51, who was named the world’s sexiest man in 2018 by American mag People.

She told the Walking The Dog podcast: “I used to be a bit worried when all these women come up and they’re like ‘oh my God, I love you’. I had to be quite confident in what we were doing and I am now.”

But Sabrina says she can’t blame fans for getting excited. She added: “They are human beings who are just excited. I get excited when I see him. So in a sense, I don’t want to ruin their moment either.”

This comes after Idris was caught up in an awkward encounter with ITV host Lorraine Kelly. The presenter made a cheeky comment about the rumours he might be the next James Bond.

She said: “Now look, you keep getting asked about James Bond. Can we turn it on its head? Because I think you would be an amazing baddie in James Bond.

“I was going to say I can see you stroking a white pussy, but I shouldn’t really say that, because that’s naughty and rude,” Lorraine added, as she referred to Bond villain Blofeld.

She laughed: “I will take that out, thank you very much. We’re not going to put that in. I will just say that you’d be a really good James Bond.”

Cracking up at her blunder, the actor-turned-DJ said: “It’s out there now. I’ve got it in my head, the image. But anyway.” The much-loved host then apologised to the star, leading Idris to add: “Now I’m excited about being in a meme with you for the rest of our lives.”
