Beat The Chasers took a cheeky turn as one quizzer made a dig at host Bradley Walsh.
The Sinnerman, the Beast, the Governess, the Menace, the Vixen and the Dark Destroyer took on a new batch of famous faces as the celebrity edition off The Chase spin-off show continued on Tuesday (May 7) night.
Bradley welcomed actor, presenter and comedian Stephen Mangan onto the stage first to try his luck against one of TV’s greatest quiz teams in a bid to win big one his chosen charity.

However, before Stephen appeared on stage, Bradley introduced the quizzers and asked them what their dream job would be. Jenny Ryan, otherwise known as The Vixen, cheekily told her co-star: “Would love to do what you do but if not, some sort of entertainer.” After Bradley let out a chuckle, he introduced Stephen to the team.
However, things didn’t go to plan and he failed to beat the chasers but he did walk away with £1,000 for a good cause of his choice. It comes after radio broadcaster Rick Edwards won a £120,00 for charity during Monday’s (May 6) episode of the quiz show. The television presenter took on all five chasers and after his victory, Jenny praised Rick and said: “That was immaculate time management there. A lot of players come on and look at that time advantage in terms of the number of questions they can get wrong.”
Many ITV viewers were delighted with Rick’s performance. One person on X said: “Well played to @rickedwards1 18 seconds is a huge start for a smart cookie like him #beatthechasers.” A second person chimed in: “@rickedwards1. Huge congrats Rick on winning a massive £120,000 for your chosen charity on tonight’s #BeatTheChasers you’ve played really well and well done to@neildelamere @MichAckerley @MrSebDaniel and Charlie Stayt as well! :).”
A third commented: “so pleased for Rick and his charity. £120k win at the end is amazing and it is thoroughly deserved after that textbook performance. #BeatTheChasers.” A fourth also wrote: “Blimey, £120,000 won on Beat The Chasers! Is that the highest ever won on a Celebrity Special? #BeatTheChasers.”
