Coronation Street viewers have been left on the edge of their seats fearing that Dee-Dee Bailey might be carrying Joel Deering’s child in a shocking plot twist.
In Monday’s episode (October 14), Craig Tinker (played by Colson Smith) delivered the grim news to DS Lisa Swain (Vicky Myers) and Kit Green (Jacob Roberts) about the discovery of Joel’s body.
Kit later disclosed that the post-mortem revealed two blows to Joel’s head were the cause of death, despite his body being found in a river.
The police have initiated a murder investigation into the lawyer’s death, with a host of characters potentially implicated.
Joel’s (portrayed by Calum Lill) sudden death follows revelations of his violent and frightening behaviour towards Lauren Bolton (Cait Fitton).

DS Swain has been open about her determination to bring Joel down, going to great lengths in her pursuit, but the identity of Joel’s killer remains a mystery as a new Weatherfield ‘whodunit’ officially begins, reports the Liverpool Echo.
Meanwhile, Dee-Dee Bailey (Channique Sterling-Brown) ended her engagement to Joel upon discovering he was the father of Lauren’s baby son. This upheaval motivated solicitor Dee-Dee to ensure she brought Joel to justice.
After Kit confirmed Joel’s death to her, an overly emotional Dee-Dee appeared to struggle with the news both physically and mentally. However, some Coronation Street fans are speculating that Dee-Dee could be pregnant with Joel’s child in a final devastating twist.

Corrie fans on Reddit have been whipping up a storm with their theories about Dee Dee’s recent woes: “I’m predicting that Dee Dee isn’t just sick over the murder of Joel, but possibly also pregnant with his baby.”
The same user opined, “If she is, that would be a cruel twist after everything the poor woman has been through. I’m also aware she doesn’t believe in sex before marriage so I could be dead wrong here. Thoughts..? “.

Another fan pitched in with, “I thought so too,” and yet another added their two pennies’ worth commenting: “That’s the first thing I thought of when she said she felt nauseous. She is having a devil child.”
One sleuth shared their darker hypothesis: “I think Joel drugged her and … (sorry, didn’t want to type it out) and that was why celibacy was mentioned so often in the show as it was pointless when it was said…or they had a mistake, but she is 100% pregnant..”
Finally, one viewer expressed dread saying, “I was thinking something similar, I just really hope it’s not the case”, while another hinted at future revelations: “There’ll be a flashback where she realised she was drugged and Joel..”
