ITV Emmerdale fans ‘solve’ Heath’s death as they point out huge car ‘clue’

Emmerdale fans are convinced Heath Hope’s tragic death is about to be solved.

Emotions were running high during Tuesday’s episode (January 2) as the residents of Emmerdale came to terms with the fact that Heath died in a tragic car accident. On Monday night, Heath, his twin sister Cathy and their pal Angelica were desperate to go to a New Year’s Eve party in town.

Encouraged by Heath and Angelica, underaged Cathy stole Wendy’s car and drove it at full speed down a series of country lanes. Near the end of the programme, viewers discovered that the car ended up in an accident which resulted in Heath’s death – but the fatal crash itself was never seen.

On Tuesday night, while being questioned by police, Cathy claimed she wasn’t the one driving when they ended up crashing the car, thus shaking off responsibility for the teen’s death. Instead she pointed the finger at Anglica, who many viewers believe was the passenger.

Emmerdale fans reckon police can easily find out who was driving the crashed car

But fans were a little baffled over the confusion and were sure that police would easily be able to work out who was driving. They insisted police could simply check for DNA in the car and the bruises on Angelica and Cathy to discover who was the guilty driver.

Heading over to X formerly known as Twitter, fans rushed to comment. One viewer said: “Don’t you just need to check the seat belt bruising? Then there’s always DNA on the steering wheel? The girls are different heights – check the seat position?”

A second agreed: “Handprints / blood DNA on the steering wheel will prove who was driving.” Another brought up the blood in the vehicle. They wrote: “DNA the blood on the airbag rozzers, whodunit solved.”

A fourth added: “Well, I’d imagine DNA/blood forensics would establish who was actually driving… If Angel was driving on impact, her blood would be on the driver’s side and Cathy’s on the passenger side or vice versa if Cathy was driving! But this is Emmerdale!”

Bob lost another child in Emmerdale

Near the end of the show, viewers’ attentions turned to a heartbroken Bob who came to the realistion that he has lost another child- after previously losing his daughter Dawn in 2006. Taking to X again, fans expressed their pain.

Sharing their thoughts on actor Tony Audenshaw, one viewer said: “So sad oh Bob, that was brilliantly done, we didn’t see this coming, happy now Kathy, gosh that was emotional. Tony well done, I felt that from home, scenes we’re top stuff.
