‘I’ve done Love Island twice and contestants shouldn’t always listen to producers’

Love Island star Jessie Wynter has shared advice to new contestants and said they should stick to their gut.

The 27-year-old entered the Love Island villa last year winter and found love with farmer Will Young following her stint on the Australian version. With her wealth of experience, Jessie has now dished the dirt on what the new islanders should do.

Talking exclusively to Daily Star Jessie said contestants need to always follow their gut feeling. Even if they’re advised otherwise.

She said: “My advice for anyone going on Love Island is to always stick to your gut feeling, always back yourself in. Don’t listen to other people around you.

“You know even the producers, what the producers are saying… stick to your gut feeling. Always trust yourself I think when it comes to reality television it is there for people’s entertainment so the more people mess up the better the entertainment.

“So I’d just say stick to your gut feeling, back yourself in and you know at the end of the day you can’t go back and change time. So if you do something that maybe people on the outside don’t like and you come off to negative criticism, just don’t worry back yourself in and keep being yourself!”

Aussie native Jessie was also questioned about her big move to the UK and whether her family have visited her. Talking openly, Jessie revealed that she initially found it hard.

She said: “At the start, it actually took me a very long time to adjust. Especially coming straight off the show and going to a new country not being able to see and talk to my family since coming off.

“I found that really challenging but I think when you move away from home if you stick out that first six months, after that life starts to become better. And now I’ve really settled here – I feel like the UK is now my home.”

When asked if her family has flown over to see her, she replied: “No my family hasn’t come to visit me but we’ve gone to visit them. I do have one of my brothers coming over this year, which is going to be so fun, I can not wait!”
