James Martin confessed he took hidden party animal Dame Mary Berry on a wild trip to Ibiza to a famous superclub.
Last year, the beloved TV chef reflected on his surprising get away with the former Great British Bake Off judge during an appearance on This Morning. As he cooked up a delicious dish for Holly Willoughby and Dermot O’Leary, he spilled the beans on how he cut loose with the 89-year-old on the dancefloor at the beloved nightclub, Pacha.
The pair ventured off on holiday together with their friends and family to the Balearic Islands for a wedding. The blonde bombshell began: “I hear you’ve got a bit of a story about Ibiza?”

It was at this point that the 51-year-old chuckled: “It’s a claim to fame! I took Mary Berry for a six-hour night out in Pacha.” Stunned by his admission, the mum-of-three asked: “Are you kidding me? Did she enjoy it?”
James insisted: “She did – she led me astray. She even hit the dancefloor.” However, the broadcaster couldn’t help but chuckle, admitting: “I’ve just got this image of Mary Berry in a bikini and a whistle.”
The infamous baker shared her side of the story months later when she appeared on Nick Grimshaw and Angela Hartnett’s podcast Dish. The former radio presenter said: “I wanted to talk to you about Ibiza.
“Because there’s this wonderful rumour that Mary Berry went to Ibiza and got right on the Tequila.” It was at this point that Mary explained what brought her to the party island.
She told them: “We went to Ibiza because a great friend’s son, Patrick, was getting married. All the wives, we had one thing, one place we wanted to go to, and it was Pacha.
“And the men weren’t a bit keen but they came and I can remember thinking, ‘This is terribly exciting’. I can remember going up the steps into Pacha where somebody came forward and stamped you.
“I’d never been stamped before, I thought, ‘Will it ever come off?’ It was like a rabbit warren. And we got inside and the boys went one way and we went the other because they didn’t really want to be there.
“It was narrow and there were lots of floors and lots of paths, and everybody was drinking and smoking. It suddenly struck me that if there was a fire, would we ever get out?
“But even so – it was good fun. And, I know what goes on inside now.” Nick chuckled: “I love that you went to Pacha, I love that.” We can only imagine what the cheeky minx got up to at the wild Bake Off wrap parties.
