Jeremy Clarkson’s other half Lisa Hogan was nearly slapped with a criminal record after a massive blunder at their Diddly Squat farm.
Lisa revealed she was warned about the potential of getting a criminal record if she dared to flog non-local produce on their plot. The hit series Clarkson’s Farm is set to delight fans once more, as they dive back into the rural antics of Jeremy, Lisa, and the beloved duo Kaleb and Gerald Cooper at the Oxfordshire farm.
With the third season on the horizon, Jeremy’s missus had a ‘serious chat’ about what goodies she could peddle at their farm shop. Their land agent and advisor, Charlie Ireland, laid down the law, telling the pair that they’re only allowed to hawk goods produced within a 16-mile radius of their farm. Step out of line, and they’d be risking a criminal record.

Lisa confessed: “Charlie had to have a serious conversation with me and say that I could end up with a criminal record if I didn’t comply.” She added, respecting the council rules: “It’s council regulations which I respect, especially after Charlie explained it to me in his clear and concise way.”
Meanwhile, Jezza himself has been keen to show the nitty-gritty of farm life, warning viewers that Diddly Squat is not for the faint-hearted. The 64-year-old shared: “Farming on television has been portrayed as fresh straw, fluffy lambs, agreeable calves: a bit like Babe. I had it in my head that farming was much dirtier and harder, and I always wanted to show it like it actually is. Farming doesn’t have many happy endings, as we’ve discovered. We want to show everybody what real farming is.”
In the latest tear-jerker episode, 50 year old Lisa was seen sobbing into Jeremy’s arms after a tragic loss of her beloved piglets. Opening up about her unexpected bond with the farm animals, Lisa confessed: “I didn’t think I’d be that enamoured by pigs but I did get really close to them. Farming’s just sad. The animals become your friends and you’re isolated. It was heart-breaking.”
During a candid Q&A about the new series, Jeremy revealed he roped in Lisa to assist with the birth of piglets, saying: “It turns out that pigs aren’t great mothers as a general rule, but the sandy and black breed that we got makes for a particularly poor mother.”
Jeremy and Lisa were left devastated as tragedy struck their farm when the newborn piglets they were caring for didn’t make it. The Doncaster-born celeb was filmed looking after his pigs as they introduced their first litter of piglets, but the situation took a heartbreaking turn.
Viewers could hear the concern in his voice when he said, “One of them is as weak as hell,” while peering into an incubator. In a sombre moment later on, Jeremy is seen giving Lisa two of the piglets that had sadly passed away.
