Jessie J’s plush Los Angeles pad has been burgled, with thieves making off with more than $20,000 (£15,000) worth of bling.
The British songstress, whose real name is Jessica Cornish, divides her time between the UK and the US, residing in LA with her long-term beau, basketball star Chanan Safir Colman, and their son Sky, who they welcomed in May last year. The Price Tag singer is the latest celeb to fall prey to a criminal gang targeting the rich and famous in Southern California, as per TMZ.
The 36-year-old alerted the police on Thursday after returning to her LA mansion to find it had been ransacked, with more than $20,000 worth of jewellery swiped by the robbers. The rear window of Jessie’s residence was smashed to gain entry, and cops have confirmed that no arrests have been made in relation to the heist, but investigations are ongoing.

The vocalist has been globe-trotting in recent weeks for a series of concerts, and was in the UK in August where she performed at Manchester Pride and a gig at Yorkshire Wildlife Park, which she plugged on Instagram. Jessie isn’t the first big-name star to be targeted by this criminal gang, as Tom Hanks and Rita Wilson’s $26million Pacific Palisades mansion was also hit over the summer.
As per TMZ, the cliffside mansion of Oscar-winning actor Tom was burgled while he was away, with the security alarm set off as thieves shattered a glass window on a guest house within the property. Other stars such as Modern Family’s Sarah Hyland and comedian Marlon Wayans have also fallen victim to the gang, who appear to be targeting A-list celebs in Los Angeles who are out of town, reports the Mirror.
Sarah, 33, spotted the intruders on her home security cameras while she was away with hubby Wells Adams, and informed officers that she was alerted to the break-in while miles away from her property. As reported by TMZ, she told police she was notified of someone breaking the glass on one of her windows in broad daylight, and watched as two masked men left her home.
Investigations are still underway, and it hasn’t been confirmed if anything was nicked from the star’s property.
Comedian and actor Marlon, famed for his roles in the Scary Movie series and White Chicks, has sent a message to any would-be burglars after his pad was nicked in July. Taking to Instagram with a video, he joked that he’s the worst celeb to rob because he’s not exactly rolling in valuables.
“I want you to know that they didn’t really get much because I don’t own s**t. The most valuable thing in my house is my house. So, unless you’re gonna put that s**t on a truck and drag it away, then, yeah, man, you did well, but I don’t own s**t. I don’t wear jewellery. This [ring] is fake. … It’s a heart rate monitor. I’m not flashy. No jewellery. No necklaces. I don’t have cash. I use credit cards,” he said with a chuckle.
