Joey Essex has been tipped to be the next TV star to join the Strictly Come Dancing line-up.
The former TOWIE star shocked viewers when he joined the ITV reality show last month as the show’s first celebrity bombshell. And it’s fair to say he’s had his fair share of drama throughout his time in the villa.
But this isn’t the first reality show the TV personality has been on. The 33-year-old has also appeared on I’m A Celebrity, Dancing on Ice, Celebs Go Dating and Celebrity Ex on the Beach to name a few.

As the hugely popular dating programme gears up to the grand final on Monday (July 29), fans have been glued to their screens desperately waiting to see which couple will be crowned this year’s winners. Now, Daily Star has quizzed a celebrity PR expert as to what the TV icon will move on to next.
PR guru Rochelle White has exclusively revealed what show the TV star will land next after he leaves the villa – and fans will be surprised with the answer. She told us: “I feel like Joey should take a bit of a step back and take a break from reality TV.”
She went on to share what reality shows fans can expect to see the hunk appear on next. Rochelle added: “I have heard that he could be joining shows like Selling Sunset, which to me seems like a desperate attempt to stay on screen.
“As far as I’m aware, he doesn’t have any real estate experience – but if the show is going on looks and viewership then I can see the appeal. I would say it would be a real mismatch for him and won’t help his brand or his image because it may come across as fake.
“I could see him returning to Love Island for an All Stars series or heading to other countries, but that will only get you so far.” She went on to urge the reality star to take a break from TV appearances to work on his image and brand first.
Rochelle explained: “I would say that he and his team really need to sit back and have a better plan of action. I feel like Joey really hit the height of his fame when he starred on TOWIE, but since then I can’t say he’s had a really successful career apart from appearances on other reality shows.
“Taking the time to figure out what he wants to represent will be the key to his success moving forward and could lead to other options on other shows like Strictly.”
If Joey is to land a spot on Strictly Come Dancing, he could be joining fellow TOWIE star Pete Wicks and DIY SOS host Nick Knowles. Fans will have to stay tuned to see what the TV hunk will move onto next.
The Love Island final airs on Monday July 29 at 9pm on ITV2 or catch up on ITVX. Want all the biggest Showbiz and TV news straight to your inbox? Sign up for our free Daily Star Showbiz newsletter.
