Love Island’s Joey Essex has already made a huge impact in the ITV2 villa – but is he there for the right reasons?
The reality TV legend has been the first bombshell to enter the series and boy don’t we know it. He has managed to turn a few heads already and last night gave hairdresser Sam Taylor the boot when he coupled up with makeup artist Samantha Kenny.
But body language expert Inbaal Honigman has shared her thoughts on Joey and came to a rather telling conclusion. She told WhichBingo: “Joey Essex has always had very consistent body language.

“He’s always been a very genuine person, never trying to be anything he’s not. But he’s walking onto that set, not like somebody trying to look for love. He’s walking onto that set like somebody coming to do a personal appearance.”
The expert added: “He is standing very, very straight. He knows that all eyes are on him.
“He smiles in a photogenic way. He knows how to work the camera and he’s not somebody who happened upon a reality show and will let his nerves show. So, what we have now is the body language of a sleek, polished entertainment professional. He may have started as a reality star but that was a really long time ago.
“He walked on as controlled and as on top of his expressions, on top of his physical expression as polished as Maya herself.
“He’s there to get attention. He walked onto the set like somebody who was hired to bring attention, and he’s going to follow the brief.
“He’s not looking like somebody looking for love. He’s not come on with any romantic or even sexy approach. He’s not come as his humble self but instead as ‘please come in as the full Joey Essex experience’.”
In tonight’s episode (June 5), Joey is expected to cause even more chaos after personal shopper Harriett Blackmore seems to turn his head in the hideaway. This causes Samantha to lose her rag and call out Harriett for her sneaky behaviour.
But who will Joey go for? Tune in to find out at 9pm.
Love Island airs every day on ITV2 or catch up on ITVX.
