Jojo Siwa confuses fans as new ‘adult’ project has cryptic ‘sexual warning’

Jojo Siwa has issued a warning for her fans ahead of her next project.

The former Dance Moms star posted a cryptic message which implied that her next piece of work will be seriously NSFW. In an Instagram post, Siwa wrote: “The following content is not made for children and may be disturbing or offensive to some viewers. May contain sexual themes, violence, strong language, traumatic scenes and flashing lights. Viewer discretion is advised.”

She posted the message across three Instagram uploads, each with the caption “heads up,” as fans flocked to share their thoughts on her cryptic message. One person said: “She’s no longer a child star, that’s why.”

Someone else wrote: “Let the girl live. Y’all did the same when Miley Cyrus was finding herself,” as another person defended the star with: “She’s free, she can do adult stuff.” Other confused followers begged to know “what this means” while some wished her “congratulations on being herself” and refusing to “fit in the tiny box others try to squash her into”.

Alongside the post, JoJo added a video of the message as text ran across the screen. A voice issued Siwa’s statement as more fans rushed to post their theories on the unexpected twist.

Someone speculated: “She’s basically letting y’all know she’s no longer a child and she’s not going to act like it anymore…so if you don’t want your kids (who followed her because she was a kid) to see her doing adult things, this is your warning to unfollow…it’s not that hard to read and understand [laughing faces].”

One follower was concerned about “nudity” as others asked “what is going on” with the child star. She received a lot of support from fans who defended the TV personality for posting the message and “transitioning from child star to adult era”.

JoJo shot to fame on the second series of Abby’s Ultimate Dance Competition back in September 2013. Back then, she was a very young child and became known for her slicked-back blonde hair adorned with huge colourful bows which became her signature style.
