Katie Price says ‘I’ve cleaned up dead bodies’ as she admits very different original job

Katie Price has confessed she “cleaned up dead bodies” in her job before fame.

The mum-of-five is known for her iconic glamour modelling days and her many stints on reality television. But before she decided to get her kit off, she was planning to go down a very different route.

The 45-year-old spoke to James English on his Anything Goes podcast and gave a detailed rundown of her life so far. And while talking about her time in the Playboy Mansion, she quickly jumped to another topic.

Admitting she was in the room when Hugh Hefner was having sex, Katie said: “I’ve seen a lot.” She then looked back at other “surreal” moments in her life.

“When I was training to be a nurse, dead bodies, seen them, cleaned them up,” she said. “The things I’ve witnessed, seen.

“Even Great Ormond Street, seeing ill kids and mums. I’ve been in so many surreal situations.

“All these dramatic situations, and I’ve survived it. I’m a survivor.”

Katie has previously spoken about her past career plans. She said last year on Jamie Laing’s Private Parts podcast: “Everyone said I should be a model but I was training to be a nurse and I was doing Project 2000 if anyone has heard of that or if anyone did it.

“Registered nurse is what I was training to be. And, obviously, 26 years on I’m still in this industry for God’s sake.”

Project 2000 was an education scheme brought into the UK in 1990 for nursing qualifications. At the time, universities did not charge tuition fees for it and those on the project were paid a bursary to support them.

It was a three-year scheme and those who completed it would obtain a diploma and be qualified as a registered nurse. However it seems Katie made the switch to modelling before completing it.

She did reveal plans to become a paramedic last year, though. She told Jamie: “Now I’m training to be a paramedic, it’s going to take five years.”
