Rocker Keith Richards was so wiped out on a Rolling Stones tour that he was flown to a new country – still in bed.
The hellraiser couldn’t be stirred from his slumber so the band’s roadies had to cart him onto the plane while he was still kipping.
Stunned Keith then woke up in a completely different hotel room before going on to play their next gig.

Former PR guru Alan Edwards has spilled the beans about life on the road with the Stones in his new book.
He said: “One time, the tour manager couldn’t wake Keith up in a hotel room to fly to the next country.
“So roadies carried the bed, with Keith sleeping in it, out of the hotel, loaded it onto the plane and then hauled it off when the plane touched down again.
“Keith woke up in another hotel room in another country without even having stirred.
“Of course, there were none of the normal constraints in terms of when or where the plane departed, or tedious things like customs checks.
“And there was no question of being late for the flight either, because you had a police escort with lights flashing and sirens blaring all the way to the airport.”
In his new book I Was There, Alan also shares secrets of working with the likes of the David and Victoria Beckham, The Spice Girls and David Bowie.
But he admitted that joining the 1982 tour with Mick Jagger and co opened his eyes to the heights of rock and roll excess.
He added: “The Stones were travelling on their own 747 jet, an unimaginable luxury compared with the cramped tour buses I was accustomed to.
“The plane, complete with glamorous hostesses, was more like an ocean-going cruise liner, as opulent as you could imagine – white leather seats and endless fine food and drink.”
