As her children leave the nest for their own ventures, Kerry Katona has announced she is moving out of her lavish house for a smaller property.
The 43-year-old is looking to move out of her sprawling £2million Cheshire pad to settle into a more manageable home. The former Atomic Kitten has previously been travelling back and forth to Marbella with her fiancé Ryan Mahoney.
But as her daughter Lilly-Sue, 21, and Heidi, 16, share their plans to move out of the family home, the mum-of-five and her beau have decided to stay in the North of England. In her exclusive column for OK! Magazine on Monday (May 27), the hitmaker confessed that despite moving out in June, she has not started packing up yet.

She wrote: “We’re moving next month, and we haven’t packed a single thing. We are not prepared! I’m going to be really sad to leave this house, because it’s gorgeous and we really get along with our neighbours. It’s a shame.
“But at the same time, I want a house to feel really homely and this one is just so big, I can’t keep on top of it.” She went on to add that she hopes in her smaller home “there will be less mess for me to tidy up after the kids.”
Kerry added that her new home is “still close by for DJ’s school” and will be the perfect spot for her younger children. The TV favourite is the proud mother of five – Molly Marie and Lilly whom she shares with her ex-husband Brian McFadden.
She also welcomed Heidi and Max from her marriage with taxi driver Mark Croft. The star gave birth to her youngest daughter DJ during her marriage with the late George Kay.
The proud mum recently shared the news that Heidi, 21, had landed a sport a at a coveted music school in Ireland. The star later announced that 17-year-old Lilly would also be leaving home to move to Liverpool, where she is enrolled in a performing arts school.
But it hasn’t been plain sailing for the happy couple since. Kerry hinted at trouble in paradise earlier this month when she moved in with her mother after she went under the knife.
Earlier this month, Kerry decided to get a nose job which had been damaged by past drug abuse. In her column, the TV star thanked her mum for her continued support and “really looked after me” following her operation.
She then admitted that she had felt “unsupported” by her other half who zipped down to London to get a tattoo at the time of her operation. Kerry confessed: “I haven’t seen him since my surgery over a week ago.
“That upset me, because it made me feel unsupported and I could have done with that emotional support.”
