A Loose Women star has revealed she would be up for joining I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here! but doesn’t want to “disappoint” viewers.
Katie Piper, 41, spoke exclusively to Daily Star at the Pride of Britain Awards last night and shared what’s coming up in her diary – before saying she might give the ITV jungle a miss.
She told us: “We like watching that at home but I think I’ve got so many medical problems I would be so boring in there. I would be removed from every trial under medical grounds and the audience will be disappointed with that, so I think I will watch it from the sofa.”

Fans shouldn’t worry though as Katie announced she will be hitting our screens again soon as she prepares to launch her new prison docuseries. She added: “I’ve just finished filming a new series in New Orleans where I go over there into women’s prisons.

“It was really hard-hitting as there were women with very long sentences and these women are mothers, sisters, aunties. There are so many nuances and it’s really complicated hence why it ended up being a five-part series but hopefully, the audience will feel the same conflicting series I felt.”
When asked if there were any other shows she’d like to take a punt at, Katie answered: “Well, I already did Strictly which is great, they are all here tonight and I love doing Loose Women. I love doing the mixture, with the daytime fun stuff, my breakfast show, and then the more serious documentaries, so I’m happy with what I’m doing at the moment.”

Talking further about her Strictly journey in 2018, she added: “Sadly for me, it was like blink and you miss it, as I was only in the until week four. My husband is actually more of a mover than me, he is definitely the better dancer.”
Katie joined the ITV panel of Loose Women back in 2021 and has “loved” her experience on the programme. The TV star explained: “I love the pre-meeting, everyone always has a good gossip and a good chat. I always have two coffees and end up ringing my husband usually.

“Loose is exactly how you see on screen, it’s women getting together and bringing out the best in each other. It’s a new experience for me to work with a big crew as before that show I was always out filming documentaries on my own.”
