Lorraine star bids emotional farewell to colleague as they announce ‘you’ll be missed’

ITV’s morning telly fave Ross King, 62, got all emotional on air as he said his goodbyes to a beloved colleague during Lorraine.

While having a chinwag with Christine Lampard, who’s stepping in for Lorraine Kelly, they spoke about Tinseltown’s latest from Harry and Meghan’s screen comeback to the never-ending saga of Brangelina. But then Ross got serious, announcing that his producer, Hannah Walker, was waving goodbye to the show.

Amid some quirky dance moves and a touch of the blues, Ross spilled to the viewers: “Weird dancing but with a little bit of sadness as my wonderful pal and producer Hannah Walker, it’s her last day on this show. So Hannah, I want to say to you, huge hugs from Hollywood, lots of real love from La La Land.”

He poured out his heart with the words: “You will be missed, but we’ll see you again soon enough and hope to see you again too, take care, lots of love, thanks for everything,” and sealed it with a smooch towards the camera. Christine was all hearts for the sweet send-off, saying: “Aw we love that,” and gave Ross a big thank you for his touching tribute, reports Bristol Live.

Ross has been owning it in Tinseltown as ITV’s LA correspondent for Good Morning Britain since 2014 and a regular face on Lorraine Kelly’s show since 2001. The telly fave hit a milestone 60th birthday in February 2022, and there wasn’t a dry eye in the house when Lorraine pulled out all the stops with a surprise that had his celeb pals sending love during his usual slot on her hit ITV programme.

Meanwhile, Lorraine is kicking back, enjoying some well-deserved R&R, taking another day off this week as she sticks to her planned break schedule. It’s no shocker to see her take a breather during the school hols, leaving the reins to trusty stand-ins like Christine and Ranvir Singh.
