He admitted that a career in front of the camera has helped to build up his confidence when chatting to girls: “I’ve never really struggled with my confidence when chatting to girls, but [my career] will definitely be a bit of a boost.”

Ayo confessed that he’s also tired of “the dating scene” and decided to give Love Island a chance to help him find “the one”. He admitted: “To be honest I’ve been single for a while now, so I’m pretty much bored of the dating scene. Often, I love to be indoors some days and just need a person to chill with, be comfortable with.”

Odukoya also revealed what he’s looking for in a girl and who he hopes to find while he’s in the Love Island villa: “To be honest, I’m a sucker for a pretty face, I can’t lie about that but personality is everything if I’m being honest. If I could find someone in there who is pretty, of course, very wholesome, great banter, chat, would be lovely.”

Despite applying for the 2024 summer series, Ayo cheekily admitted that he hasn’t watched much of the show’s previous seasons. Although he’s not exactly a fan of the show, he has some interesting connections to past participants.

It has been reported by The Sun that Odukoya “played football with Toby back in the day” and he also “knows Tyrique’s little brother”.
