Love Island beauties’ botched boob job woes – from wonky nipples to Turkey tragedies

Love Island celebs are famed for parading their toned bodies in skimpy swimwear within the villa. While some opt for a natural look, others have resorted to cosmetic surgery to enhance their curves.

Olivia Attwood Dack, Anna Vakili and Megan Barton Hanson are among the ex-contestants who have openly discussed their surgical mishaps.

From terrifying experiences of collapsing in a Turkish hotel room fearing death, to waking up with unexpectedly larger breasts, things don’t always go as planned.

Botched boob jobs can result in serious complications such as infections, severe scarring, asymmetry, implant rupture, and capsular contracture – a condition where scar tissue forms around the implant causing distortion and hardness. It can also lead to chronic pain and necessitate further surgeries to rectify, which come with their own risks and expenses.

Speaking to OK!, Dr. Omar Tillo Plastic Surgeon and Senior Medical Director at CREO Clinic, reveals that regrets post-surgery are quite common when decisions are made impulsively.

He says: “Many young people may choose cosmetic enhancements because of trends or social pressure, without considering the permanence and risks. To avoid regrets, you should have thorough consultations to understand realistic outcomes and potential complications. It is important to take time to think about the decision and ensure you’re not rushing into it. Being psychologically ready and having clear, realistic expectations are key.”

Let’s take a look at some of the reality stars from the ITV2 dating show over the years who have opened up about their boob job surgeries.

Anna Vakili

On her Sisters In The City podcast, which she co-hosts with her doppelganger sister Mandi Vikili, Anna Vakili opened up about her own nightmare surgery story. She recounted: “We went abroad to Turkey and me and Mandi thought we were going to die abroad. It was very scary.”

She gave the gory details of their post-surgery ordeal: “After our surgery, within a day or two, we were in a hotel room about to faint with blood all over the hotel room. It was like a murder scene, we both collapsed in the hotel room. Bandaged up, bleeding… it was like a horror movie.”

Anna has since had more surgery to correct her “botched” procedures.

Olivia Attwood Dack

Olivia Attwood has never hidden her cosmetic tweaks and has even fronted an ITV series about plastic surgery. At 20, she had her first breast enlargement surgery but soon regretted it after failing to heed her surgeon’s advice and subsequently going bigger than planned.

In a past discussion with The Times, she revealed: “I was happy for a year, then I realised they didn’t look right for my frame. The weight of the implants started to stretch my skin and they got lower and lower. I started to think, ‘This isn’t what I signed up for at all’.”

Urging those thinking about undergoing breast augmentation, she issued a strict warning – “Don’t do the most to get your money’s worth.”

Megan Barton Hanson

Megan Barton Hanson underwent corrective surgery in 2021 to fix uneven breast implants resulting from weight loss. Megan announced the procedure at the time, expressing a desire to be “honest and open” with the public about her surgical journey.

However, despite reportedly spending around £40,000 on various surgeries, Megan asserted last year that she was done with personal transformations.

She detailed: “I restarted therapy and can confidently say I’m in the best, most content place I’ve ever been mentally and physically. Because of this, my old, bigger breast implants no longer sat right on my chest, so I decided to go for a different style and shape.”

Laura Anderson

Laura secretly took out a loan to upgrade from a 32B to a 32DD at the tender age of 18. She confessed to Fabulous in 2020: “When I woke up, I just cried. I’d asked the surgeon for the C cup implants but they’d put in the bigger ones and said it’d ‘save me cash in the long run as they knew I’d want them done again’, but I hated them as soon as I saw them, they were massive.”

“All I want is 18-year-old Laura’s boobs back before surgery, but I know that is impossible.”

After experiencing severe pains in her left breast, Laura underwent another surgery to change her implants, yet she remained dissatisfied with the outcome.

Gabby Allen

Earlier this year, Gabby underwent a surgical procedure to rectify a botched boob job after her breasts became “annoying and uncomfortable”. The blonde beauty detailed how her nipples were left wonky and her breasts were “under her armpits” following her initial breast augmentation, which she had done to enhance her “body confidence”.

She further explained that her breasts interfered with her training, were “really uncomfortable”, made it challenging to sleep on her back or side, and she could never go without a bra. Gabby posted a series of photos showing her breasts before and after her corrective surgery on Instagram.
