Love Island fans were left gobsmacked after Chris Taylor declared he’d fancied Joanna Chimonides for four years.
The funnyman was speaking to host Maya Jama during his exit interview when he made the bombshell claim that certainly pricked the ears of many viewers. People raced to their keyboards to work out that Chris must have had eyes for Joanna while she was with his best friend on the fifth series of the love-finding programme.
To make matters worse, the two lands went on to live together after their Spanish villa stint and were very close. Fans claimed Chris had “no bro code” as they claimed he was after Michael’s girlfriend the entire time.

Writing on the platform X, one fan said: “He fancied Joanna for 4 years, but that’s his friends ex girlfriend. #LoveIsland #LoveIslandAllStars,” as another added: “Wait, what, Chris was after Joanna when she and Michael were a thing? #LoveislandAllstars. A third agreed: “If Chris was making eyes at his mates girlfriend while they were together then he has no bro code.”
Maya said to him in the interview: “And Joanna came in and I would say swept you off of your feet. But it wasn’t that smooth was it?”

He responded: “Joanna came in and I’d fancied her for a good while.” Maya quizzed: “How long did you fancy Joanna for beforehand?”
To which he replied with: “For four years,” as the host exclaimed in shock: “What.” Chris joined the stunning host after he was savagely axed on Friday nights programme.

The reality star ended up finding himself alone and without a partner after an unexpected re-coupling. Bombshell Adam Maxted entered the South African villa and opted to be with Arabella Chi.
At that present moment in time, there had been no romantic spark between her and Chris. They had simply been put together after their significant others Joanna and Joe Garrett were pointed to the door on Wednesday’s show.
