Love Island fans fear favourite couple have split as they spot worrying ‘clue’

Love Island fans believe one popular couple have split.

They believe Whitney Adebayo and Lochan Nowacki, who came runners-up during last year’s summer series, have called it a day. The pair lost out to Jess Harding and Sammy Root in the final but have gone from strength to strength as a couple outside of the villa.

Unfortunately, though, it looks like the pair could be on the rocks as they no longer follow one another on Instagram [at the time of writing]. Fans of the ITV show on Reddit noticed this and fear it means they’ve split.

One wrote: “so much for the ‘last standing couple’ [cyring emoji]”. Another commented: “I JUST FELL TO MY KNEEES”. A third added: “I was just rooting for them and was happy to see them still together this other day what is going on”.

However, others pointed out that they had attended the National Reality TV Awards in London on Wednesday (July 31), suggesting things might not be as bad as they seem. One wrote: “They were together today at an award show so unless they broke up on the car ride home I’m assuming they are somewhat together…”

Another, who thought it was simply a trick to get people talking about them, claimed: “It’s a publicity stunt they’re literally together right now at the awards”. Daily Star has contacted Lochan and Whitney’s representatives for comment.

Earlier this year, Whitney revealed during a Q&A with fans that she would live with Lochan but was “torn” as he lives with friends. She said: “I would live with Lochan, but I am torn because Lochan lives with his friends.”

“Him and his friends are going to get a place for themselves for a year. And then the following year it’s ideal that we’ll move in together.

She added, in the YouTube video: “Half of me wants to [move in], but the Christian in me is like ‘Why are you living with a guy that you’re not married to? What are you doing? You don’t need no trial.’ “

“I don’t know about cohabitation before marriage. So I don’t know, I am torn between the world we live in, and my faith. But I love him and I definitely want to live with him at some point.”
