Love Island finalists’ split ‘sealed’ after ‘angry’ reaction to winners

The first couple set to split after the Love Island grand final has been revealed, according to sources.

On Monday night (July 29), millions of fans from up and down the country tuned in for the grand final of the ITV dating show. This year Mimii Ngulube and Josh Oyinsan stole the crown and took home the £50,000 cash prize.

The dynamic duo made history as the first black couple to win the reality show since it rebooted back in 2015. They beat finalists Nicole Samuel and Ciaran Davies, Matilda Draper and Sean Stone and Jessica Spencer and Ayo Odukoya.

Jessica and Ayo finished in fourth place while Matilda and Sean were awarded third position in the competition. Welsh heartthrobs, Nicole and Ciaran were the runners up in the final despite fans supporting the pair throughout the series.

Now, speaking on behalf of Spin Genie, body language Darren Staton has revealed how the love birds really felt after missing out on winning the show. He exclusively told us: “Ciaran was devastated that he and Nicole didn’t win.

“He had his hands in his pockets, which is significant here. When someone isn’t showing their hands, it means they have something to hide.

“Usually, Ciaran is very animated with his hands, so this was an obvious sign he was feeling gutted. We then saw Nicole pulling him towards her, but he pulled back.

“This shows resistance and tension between them.” It was at this point that the celebrity guru predicted that the pair would become the first couple to split after they return to UK.

He went on: “Although they seemed to be the strongest couple in the show, I do sense some distance between them here. I wouldn’t be surprised if they broke up now the show has come to an end.”

After the show came to an end, Ciaran and Nicole shared a congratulatory message to the winning couple on social media. Darren explained how this further revealed the Welsh hunk’s annoyance at his loss.

The expert went on: “We also saw Ciaran’s blink rate double. This is a huge giveaway of him experiencing an internal shift of stress and panic.

“We also saw him flash expressions of anger and frustration. He thought they had it in the bag. He essentially couldn’t believe they didn’t win.

“When they both said how happy they were for Mimii and Josh, we saw Ciaran shaking his head. So, although he was congratulations, he may not have meant it.”

However, the same couldn’t be said for his beau Nicole, who appeared to be completely in love with her partner. Darren explained: “Nicole demonstrated how besotted she is by Ciaran.

“She was displaying a lot of tactical gestures – looking him in the eyes, and touching his arm. In Nicole’s head, she was feeling disappointed they didn’t win, but she was happy she found Ciaran.”
