Jacques O’Neill has hinted at his return to the villa for Love Island: All Stars.
The professional rugby player originally featured on Series 8 of Love Island, joining on Day 7 and choosing to leave the villa on Day 37. A cryptic social media post seems to signal the 24-year-old’s return to the screen.
Jacques took to his Instagram story to post a mysterious picture of an airport departure lounge. The Cumbrian-born man included no caption and instead shared the snap with the sideways eyes emoji, signalling something is afoot.

Jacques previous post to his Instagram story saw him receiving a fresh trim from Northern-based barbers Fade Masters UK. Is it possible the ex-Love Islander could be getting ready for his return to the LED screen?
Love Island All Stars will begin on January 15 with the programme’s social media teasing a reveal of the contestants in “less than 24 hours”. On X (formerly Twitter), Love Island’s account wrote: “The All Star Islanders are on their way / Say hello to some familiar faces in less than 24 hours… #LoveIsland “.
Fans responded to the post to share their desire to see Jacques return. One user wrote, “bring back Jacques” whilst another responded: “Bring Luca Bish and Jacques” with the crying face emoji.
Jacques originally left the villa during his series in 2022 in a dramatic exit. The tearful rugby loose forward summoned the rest of the contestants to the firepit on day 37 for the shock revelation of his departure.
He told his co-stars: “I feel like, lately, I just can’t be myself, so… I’m trying my best but I’m not a fake person. I’m not gonna start faking things and act like I’m OK when things inside aren’t actually, you know, OK.
“So I’m gonna be leaving today. I just can’t stick around and not be myself. It’s not fair to me and it’s definitely not fair to Paige.
“For me and Paige to work I need to be at my best and if that means removing myself from the situation and waiting for Paige when she gets out, that’s what I’m gonna do.”
Jacques later revealed that whilst in the Majorcan villa, his mental health had gotten to a low point after his mum had began receiving death threats due to his alleged ‘bullying’ behaviour on the show. Speaking on the Learning About Judgement podcast, he explained: “If I didn’t leave when I did, I could feel myself getting into a really, really bad place.
“I was kicking off and was saying, ‘Get me a flight right now, I just want to be with my mum’. I knew she was in a bad place, she was breaking down on the phone.
“When I got home, she went, ‘Jacques, we can’t go out. We can’t go out. Like, everyone hates you’. I just wanted me and my mum to be okay, it killed me to see the way my mum was.”
